Manifest to all Democratic Sectors of the Venezuelan Society and the National Armed Forces
To all democratic sectors of the country and especially to the National Armed Forces:
Let us abide by the Constitution and stop the Cuban domination!
We, the undersigned, call upon all democratic sectors of the country and especially the members of the National Armed Forces, in this fateful hour of our motherland, to inform you of the following:
1. For fourteen years, Venezuela has been the victim of an invasion by the Castro-communist cuban regime. This invasion has been possible because it has been promoted and protected at the highest government levels.
2. Slowly and gradually, cubans have taken control of our notaries, records, identification and immigration system, foreign policy, and important sectors of the national economy.
Cuban control has even reached the Police corps and the Military Forces at the expense of the security and defense of the State.
3. The consequences of the Castro-communist domination is evident in all areas of national life. This has meant, among many other evils, the destruction of our oil industry, the dismantling of the production aparatus, both in the field and in the industry levels, the gradual elimination of civil and economic freedoms, and the advancement of drug trafficking, guerrilla and organized crime.
4. To ensure control over Venezuela, Castro-communism has designed an electoral system, tailored to control and manipulate results, based on a sophisticated electronic platform that allows misrepresentation and alteration of the will of the voters.
5. The resources of the Venezuelan State are no longer invested in solving the many problems that affect our people, but openly used to finance the expansion of Castro-communism in the region. That is why much of the international community, bribed with Venezuelan petrodollars, endorse and legitimize the Cuban invasion in Venezuela.
6. It is publicly and well known that the fate of Venezuelans is no longer decided by our own authorities, but defined blatantly in Havana, with the open participation of the Castro brothers.
7. Concerned about the physical disapearance of President Chavez, the Cuban regime has designed a mechanism to perpetuate its control over Venezuela. This maneuver includes strengthening a successor in compliance with their interests, in the figure of Mr. Nicolás Maduro, and promote a «pact» between the different sectors of the PSUV (party), which guarantees the continuity of the Cuban interference in our nation.
8. This move has the support of several Latin American presidents, including those of Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Uruguay, who not only share the same ideology and the same political goals, but benefit from the economic contributions provided by the Venezuelan government.
9. All this is a clear violation of the Constitution and the laws; which configures a coup in favor of a foreign power, which ultimately means the transformation of the Venezuelan state into a cuban appendix.
10. Although our approach is reasonable, democratic and constitutional; government spokesmen and some sectors of the opposition will call it «a coup plot». However, it is clearly the opposite: such coup or conspiracy is lead by those who have been violating the Constitution systematically. To reinstate it, there is an explicit mandate, as defined in its Article 333.
During the next few days it will be defined whether Venezuela will cease to exist as a nation, to finally become a Cubann colony, or recover our identity and historical destiny. We believe that our Armed Forces, supported by all sectors of civil society, together we will take a step forward and will prevent the dissolution of our Country.
